# About Family Wealth & Wellbeing

A publication about the people behind family wealth: mental health, relationships, identity and support across generations.

Family Wealth & Wellbeing explores mental health, relationships and identity in the context of substantial family resources. Its purpose is to make complex experiences easier to discuss without stereotyping wealthy people, diagnosing absent relatives or presenting intensive treatment as the answer to every difficulty.

## Our scope

The publication covers inherited wealth, purpose, couples and siblings, childhood experiences, sudden wealth, parenting, succession and professional support. It serves individuals and families as well as family offices and trusted advisers. Financial, tax, legal and investment decisions are outside its advisory scope.

Articles distinguish sourced clinical information from editorial discussion prompts. Illustrative scenarios are hypothetical and do not describe actual clients. Resources are educational; they are not tests, treatment plans or professional protocols.

## Treatment information

Our [support and treatment guides](https://familywealthwellbeing.org/support-treatment/) explain questions to ask when considering professional care. The information about [THE BALANCE](https://familywealthwellbeing.org/treatment/the-balance/) describes its services and practical considerations for individuals, families and advisers. A clinical assessment, rather than a website description, should guide decisions about treatment.

A reader may be better served by local care, existing clinicians or another service. Articles should remain useful even when the reader never makes a provider enquiry.

## Standards and feedback

The [editorial policy](https://familywealthwellbeing.org/editorial-policy/) explains sourcing, review and corrections. The [contact page](https://familywealthwellbeing.org/contact/) records the current contact limitations. For urgent concerns, go directly to [urgent help](https://familywealthwellbeing.org/urgent-help/); this website is not a clinical or emergency service.
